Using a conference room:

Attendees will join your conference room by dialing either a direct phone number dedicated to conferencing or your main phone number and then an extension to will route to the conference. This will vary by customer’s configurations. Contact us if you are unsure of how to dial into your conference bridge.

To enter into the Conference, an Attendee will call into the Conference Hub and enter the Conference Number, followed by the # (“pound”) key. They will then be prompted for the Attendee Password; once entered, the Attendee will have joined the conference.

If Moderator Controls are enabled, the Moderator will call into the Conference Hub and enter the Conference Number, followed by the * (“star”) key. They will then be prompted for the Moderator Password; once entered, the Moderator will have joined the conference.

When Moderator Controls are enabled, users can be muted or unmuted. Once in the Conference, the Moderator has the ability to mute or unmute all Attendees by pressing 5 (to mute) or 6 (to unmute). The moderator will hear the number of Attendees in the Conference announced when they use mute or unmute. The Moderator should disregard this.

User groups that have been assigned to the conference room will see the conference room in their BT Voice Portal dashboard. From here they can mute, unmute or kick callers from the conference.
